Obituary of Patricia Ann Cox

  Patricia departed this life peacefully on Feb. 7, 2023. Born June 12, 1948, in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Odessa Mays. Pat worked at Central Virginia Training Center for 25 years, where she cared for individuals with intellectual disabilities. She was a kind and loving person who would always put a smile on anyone’s face and make them laugh.  Patricia enjoyed cooking, eating and watching movies at home. 

  Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Terry Cox whom she married March 1998. Patricia is also united with her brother, Aubrey Mays and sister Linda Gale Johnson. She leaves behind to mourn her brother Wallace “Dunnie” Mays, Jr. (Cindy), three children, Gene Daniel, Jr., Teresa Alexander (Melvin) and Bobby Moore Jr. (Karen) and seven grandchildren. 

  The Funeral will be held On Monday, February 13, 2023 at 1 pm at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
