Obituary of Frances Davis Lipscomb

Frances Davis Lipscomb, 96, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Runk & Pratt-Leesville Road. She was the wife of the late Wallace Lipscomb. 

Born May 6, 1926, in Nathalie, VA, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Lola Guthrie Davis. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church and retired from Macy’s Department Store as a retail clerk. 

She is survived by two sons, Darryl Wayne Lipscomb and his wife, Mary of Lynchburg, and Ronald “Ronnie” Gregory Lipscomb of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Meghan Garred (Matt), Lauren Reid (Jamie), Kathryn “Kate” Beasley (Nick) and five great grandchildren, Deegan and Chandler Gerrad, Dawson and Reagan Reid, Atticus and Copeland Beasley. She was predeceased in death by one son, Donald “Donnie” Lipscomb and four brothers and one sister. 

The family wishes to thank the staff of Runk & Pratt Leesville and Affinity Care of Viriginia (Hospice) for their loving and wonderful care. 

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Marvin T. Suitt officiating.
