Obituary of Roy Odegaard

Roy Odegaard, 69, of Lynchburg, Virginia peacefully passed on Sunday, May 22, 2022. He was a loving husband to Yevonne Crews.  Roy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Sverre and Gunvar Odegaard, brothers Audin and Sigbjorn Odegaard and sister Ella Albrightson.  He is survived by sister in law Doris Odegaard and brother Birger Odegaard, many nieces and nephews Sharon (Jeff) Todunter, John (Sherry) Odegaard, Billy, Jacob, Elida and Jessica, stepdaughters Jennifer (Scott) Tucker, Stephanie Small and stepson Chris Suchodolski. Roy had 4 grandchildren by marriage: Colton, Cody, Alex and Owen. 

Papa Roy, as he was affectionately known by the grandchildren, loved working in his yard and cooking. He loved his job at Timberlake RV where he spent many years with his work family. Roy never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.  

The family will receive family and friends at his home, 7124 Morton Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24502 on Saturday May 28th, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
