Obituary of Antonia Carcioppolo

Antonia Carcioppolo, 64, of Carini, passed away on March 7, 2022 in the comfort of her home.

She was born on November 30, 1957 in Carini, Italy and moved to Lynchburg, Virginia in 1986 with her husband, Filippo, where she raised her family with dedication and pride.

She is survived by; husband, Filippo Carcioppolo of Carini, son Vito Carcioppolo and his wife Brooke Carcioppolo, daughter Nancy Carcioppolo Genova and her husband Salvo Genova, and her granddaughter Paola Genova. She was excitedly expecting her first grandson, due August 2022. She is also survived by her sister Gianna, brother Natale, and preceded in death by her brother Giovanni and parents Giuseppe and Guiseppa.

Antonia’s greatest passion was caring for her family and home that she took great pride in. She loved her children and granddaughter with a fiery passion and always went out of her way to provide for them. She also eagerly helped at their family’s restaurant, Monte Carlo since moving to Lynchburg.

There will be a funeral on Friday, March 10 at 11 o’clock in the morning at Holy Cross Catholic Church, located at 710 Clay Street Lynchburg, VA 24504. She will then be taken to her final resting place in her hometown in Italy for a Christian Burial.
