David Byrd posted a condolence
Thursday, August 1, 2019To the family of Bob Leftwich, I was greatly saddened yesterday (07/31/19) when I learned of Bob's passing. I was talking with a mutual friend that Bob and I purchase law enforcement vehicles from, and I commented that I would being seeing Bob in a couple of weeks at the Police Fleet Expo in Georgia. That is when he informed me about Bob. I am so sorry for your loss. I have met Bob at the Police Fleet Expo events for the last 14 years. He was always a joy to talk to. We would trade information about what our departments were doing to solve different issues with the police vehicles, and what kind of equipment we were using, etc. Bob was a wealth of knowledge, a really good resource. Again, I am very sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing and talking with him at the Expo. I was also really moved with the Memorial Video, a really nice tribute. Sergeant W. Wednesday, June 26, 2019Bob was a great man! Actually, great doesn't even begin to describe Bob. His knowledge, dedication, and experience helped the Bedford County Central Garage grow into what it is today.. He never took the credit for any of his accomplishments; always making suggestions for improvements. I don't believe there was anything that Bob didn't know. He will be greatly missed. He left some big shoes to fill. Terry, Kathy, Josh

Wednesday, June 26, 2019Julie and Family, I was so deeply saddened to learn of your Dad's passing. Bob was always so kind to me and always willing to help me better myself in my job by sending me info that he would find for grant writing, to help our agency. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I just loved talking with him about his cows and their antics on the farm. He will be greatly missed here at BCSO. My loving sympathies to you and all of your family. May God keep Bob in his tender care. Robin
