Obituary of Arline Oletta Manley

Arline Oletta Manley, 92, of Rustburg, died March 27, 2019 at the Carrington Health Care Center. Born on January 11, 1927 in Bedford County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Laurence Bertram Manley and Bettie Leftwich Manley.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Nellie Manley Dowdy and husband Clyde of Waynesboro and Violet Evelyn Manley of Rustburg, and one brother, Garnet Leftwich Manley, Sr. of Lynchburg. Arline was a graduate of

Rustburg High School. She was a member of Rustburg United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Senior Citizens Program. She is survived by her sister-in-law Joyce Bell Manley of Lynchburg; one niece, Linda Manley Darling and husband David of Kennewick, WA; four nephews, James Thomas Dowdy and wife Sherry of Virginia Beach, Louis Wilford Dowdy of Petersburg, Stephen Manley Dowdy and wife Nancy of Fishersville, Garnet Leftwich Manley, Jr. and wife Lorri of Lynchburg; and her dearest friend Nancy Blackwell of Lynchburg, as well as many friends in the Rustburg Community.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Rev.Sung W. Yoo, Pastor of Rustburg United Methodist Church, officiating.
