Obituary of Imogene Freeman

Imogene Sorrell Freeman, 90, of Lynchburg died Friday September 28, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the widow of Ramon Pittman Freeman. Born October 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe C. and Sue Whitlock Sorrell. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was extremely active with Mended Hearts until she was no longer able. She was a retired long time employee of Miller & Rhodes. She is survived by her daughter , Elizabeth McConnell and special son-in-law Fred McConnell; two grandchildren, Matthew McConnell and Katharine McConnell; two nieces Ann Hurt (Pete) Martha Sweeny (Sam) and a number of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill Cemetery by Dr. Tyler Scarlett.
