Obituary of Walter Pulley

Walter Fredrick Pulley, 72, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Patricia Pulley. Born March 25, 1940 in Pasadena, Maryland, he was a son of the late John Pulley and Ida Barnes Pulley. He was a retired electrician with Howard Bros. Electric in Charlotte, NC. After retirement, Walter enjoyed working at his leisure as a handyman in home repairs. He was a member of Timberlake United Methodist Church. Walter is survived by his much loved wife, Pat; his step-daughter, Karen Simonton and her husband, Robert; two brothers, Frank Pulley, and his wife Norma, of Baltimore, MD and Harry Pulley and his wife, Pat, of DE; one sister, Dorothy Kelly also of Baltimore; two step-grandchildren, Katherine and Leighton Simonton of Lynchburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Timberlake United Methodist Church, 21649 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA 24502. A private memorial service will be held on Monday. Inurnment will be in Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA. Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Wiggington Road Chapel, 385-8900, is serving the family.
