Obituary of Francis Spencer

Francis Hugo Spencer, 98, of Lynchburg, Virginia died Sunday, December 16, 2012. Born July 20, 1914, he was the son of John and Mary Alice Miller Spencer. Hugo was a lifetime Deacon and member of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church. He is survived by his three children, John Hugo Spencer of Lynchburg, Virginia, Martha Spencer Perrow of Charlotte, North Carolina and Sarah Spencer Brockman of Amherst, Virginia. He is also survived by a sister, Eubelia Jobe, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances Agee Spencer. Hugo had many passions in life but none more important to him than his family and church. A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 20th at 2:00 o?clock at Rivermont Ave Baptist Church. The family will greet friends in the fellowship hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church, 1301 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA. 24504.
