Obituary of Lois Fitzgerald

Lois A. Fitzgerald, 83, of Evington passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Nelson County on April 29, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald. Mrs. Fitzgerald was retired from Virginia Baptist Hospital. She is survived by a son, Wilson E. Fitzgerald and his wife, Sheryl of Evington. Nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Barbara Fitzgerald, Denise Fitzgerald and Tammy Fitzgerald. A Celebration of Lois? Life will be held 11:00 AM Monday, January 28, 2013 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Interment will follow in Leffler Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the funeral home. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, 1701 Thomson Dr., Lynchburg, VA. 24501.
