Obituary of Jett Preble Wade

Jett Preble Wade,80, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at The Carrington after an extended illness. She was the wife of Lennis Preston Wade. Born April 14, 1933 in Lynchburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Julian Cuthbert and Thelma Monger Preble. She was a graduate of The University of Virginia School of Nursing and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. In addition to her husband, Preston, she is survived by three daughters, Gale P. Wade, Larke W. Riordan and Stephanie P. Wade, all of Lynchburg; one sister Julian Grey Preble also of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Jessica Renee Wade, John Preston Riordan and William Benton Riordan She was pre-deceased in death by one sister, Lynne P. Wright. A private graveside service will be held in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Dan G. Mason and Rev. Kathy Nicholls officiating.
