Obituary of R. Taylor Phelps

R. Taylor Phelps, Jr. of Lynchburg passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at his residence. Born in Lynchburg on July 3, 1977 he was a son of Richard T. Phelps, Sr. of Bedford County and Gail F. Taylor of Lynchburg. He is survived by his step father J. F. Taylor, Jr. of Lynchburg and step mother, Merilee Phelps of Bedford County. In addition to his parents he is survived by a brother, Kendall Phelps of Blowing Rock, NC; two sisters, Fleming Taylor of Lynchburg and Season Taylor of Blowing Rock, NC; and his grandmother, Doris Fitzgerald of Greenwood, Va. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles, a niece and two nephews Taylor was a member of Rivermont Avenue Baptist Church. A Celebration of Taylor's Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with the Rev. John Boyles officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
