Obituary of Helen Brown Camden

Helen B. Camden, 91, of Amherst County passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born July 10, 1922 to Addie and Pearl Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William R. Camden. She is survived by her brother James Brown and his wife Shirley; her two children, Jerry Wayne Camden and his wife Anne, Mary Ann Johnson and her husband Glenn; her five grandchildren, Tracy Wilburn and her husband Adam, Amy Johnson, Todd Camden and his wife Sarah, Troy Johnson and his wife Jes, Erin Minter and her husband Jake; her eight great grandchildren, Noah, Isaac, Laura Beth, Vassar, Cole, Mac, Leah, and Daniel. She was the secretary of Westminster Presbyterian Church for 16 years and a long time member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church. She loved the Lord and the church and served both all her life. A Celebration of Helen's Life will be held 12 Noon Monday, December 23, 2013 at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church, 5810 Fort Ave., Lynchburg, VA. 24502 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 1022 Commerce St., Lynchburg, VA. 24504.
