Obituary of Clyde Douglas Wrenn

Clyde Douglas Wrenn, 34, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014. He was born to parents Carey and Donna Wrenn. Clyde spent his early years in Kenansville, Whiteville and Louisburg, NC. He attended Louisburg High School and Louisburg College. Clyde spent most of his career as a surveyor and the last 20 months as a Trimble Unit Operator with Moore's Electrical and Mechanical. Clyde loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking and riding motorcycles. Clyde loved Jesus and knew that Jesus was his Savior and Lord. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Shelly Wrenn; his paternal grandparents, Douglas and Dottie Wrenn and his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Yvonne Shelly. He is survived by his father, Carey Wrenn and his step-mother, Melissa of Madison Heights; his step-grandmother, Vernice Watts of Piney River; step-brothers, Chris Moore (Meghann) of Madison Heights and Matt Moore of Orlando, Fl; several uncle, aunts and cousins. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Savannah. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:30 PM at First Baptist Church of Monroe, located at 139 Francis Ave., Monroe, VA with the Rev. Glynn Coleman officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at the church following the service. Refreshments will be served. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in memory of Clyde, to First Baptist Church of Monroe-Building Fund, so that Clyde will be part of the new fellowship hall to be built to further share the Word of Jesus Christ with others.
