Obituary of Eva Cochrum Harmon

Eva Paralee Cochrum Harmon, 89, of Palm City, Fl. and formerly Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Fl. after an extended illness. She was the wife of the late David Leslie Harmon, Sr. Born July 2, 1924 in New Tazewell, TN, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Edith Bunch Cochrum. She was the manager of the Band Box in Pitman Plaza until it closed. She then worked for Nice as New in Lynchburg for 30 years until she retired in 2011. She is survived by two daughters, Anna Harmon Graham and her husband, Timothy, and Deborah Harmon Dahn, all of Palm City, FL; one son, David Harmon, Jr. and his wife Denise, of Nags Head, NC; four sisters, Pauline Poore of New Tazewell, TN, Margie Coffey, Mary Faye Towe (David) and Linda Kay Barker, all of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Johnny Cochrum and his wife, Pat, also of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Bryan Graham (Allison), Scott Graham (Claire), Parker Dahn, Hollis Dahn, Terry Conner (Jamaica) and Leslie Swears (Donald); seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
