Obituary of Frances Coffman
Frances Ward Coffman, 86, of Lynchburg
went to be with her Lord Sunday, October19, 2008. She was the wife of Harry
Lewis Coffman, Jr.
Born June 23, 1922
in Ashville, NC
she was a daughter of the late Thomas Daniel and Lillian Vincent Ward. She was
a graduate of Ferrum Junior
College and a retired employee of Belk Department
Store. She was a member of Leesville Road
Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son Keith Ward Coffman and
brother, Warner Ward.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children,
Danny L. Coffman and wife Brenda of Rustburg, Joyce C. Holdren and husband
Calvin of Ridgeway and Charlotte Dickerson and husband Bob of Lynchburg; two
sisters, Arminta W. Bailey of Deltaville and Diane W. Mullis of Pearisburg;
grandchildren, Wanda C. Adcock of Evington, D. Adam Coffman of Amherst, Steven
D. Coffman of Wilson, NC, Michele H. Lakey, of Charlotte, NC, Philip R. Holdren
of Mattoon, IL and Joy H. Holland of Reidsville, NC and great grandchildren,
Christina L. Coffman, Devon O. Hackworth, Robert L. Coffman, Stacey E. Coffman,
Tyler M. Hackworth, Jonathan T. Holland, Kyndall H. Lakey, Trenton S. Lakey,
Nicholis S. Adcock and Parker K. Lakey.
A celebration of Frances'
life will be held Tuesday 12:00 noon at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev.
Calvin R. Holdren officiating. Interment will follow in Fort
Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of son Danny, 1205 Clarks Rd., Rustburg.
