Jeanette Evans “Pete” Wisecarver

Jeanette Evans “Pete” Wisecarver passed away November 1, 2023. She was the wife of the late Charlie Edwin Wisecarver, Sr. She was born October 5, 1931 in Concord,VA. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Davis Evans and Mittie Nash Evans. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Jesse Everette Evans, Berkeley Davis Evans, her sisters, Ruby E Botticelli, Odell E Wheeler and Lynette E Iachetta.

She is survived by her daughter Lynne Wisecarver Powers (Thomas); her sons, Charlie E Wisecarver, Jr.(Diane), Gary E Wisecarver (Joann); her grandchildren, Shannon Wisecarver (Sherry), Kevin Wisecarver (Courtney), Chad Wisecarver (Olivia), Blake Wisecarver( Elissa- fiancee); her great grandchildren, Riley, Adam, Sarah and Ryder.

Jeanette graduated from Concord High School and attended Phillips Business College. She worked with her husband in the insurance industry for many years and many of the clients became friends. She was a long time member of Kedron Baptist Church in Gladys, VA.

She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved animals, reading, working in the yard and garden and with her flowers. She always had a smile and looked for the best in everyone.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and care during the last months provided by Seven Hills Hospice, especially Harley.

A grave side service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday November 4th at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg, VA. Guy Mosebrook, Shelton Miles and Pastor Jacob Warren officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 6 PM til 8 PM on Friday November 3rd at Diuguid  Funeral Service 21914 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg, VA.
