Obituary of Leroy Randolph Jennings, Jr.

Leroy Randolph "L.R." Jennings, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Bentley Common's. He was the husband of Sylvia Jerleen Jennings.

Born January 21, 1934 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Leroy Randolph and Margaret Hudson Jennings. He was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of American Legion Post 16 in Lynchburg.

In addition to his wife Sylvia, he is survived by three sons; Gary Wayne Jennings, Larry Randolph Jennings and Clinton Dale Jennings and his wife, Lisa; one step-daughter, Lisa Rogers; one grand-daughter, Meghan J. Bauscher and her husband, Daniel, of Carthage, NY; two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Claire Bauscher also of NY and one brother, Linwood Jennings. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty W. Jennings and three brothers, Warren D. Jennings , Harman Jennings and Donald Jennings, one sister, Dorothy "Dot" J. Bibb.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin Brooks officiating.
