Obituary of S. Michael Reynolds

S. Michael Reynolds, 65, of Lynchburg, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday May 26, 2018, at UVA Medical Center.

He was the loving husband of Karen Reynolds for the past 43 years.  He attended Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Michael attended Virginia Tech and graduated in 1974 with a B.S. in Horticulture.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Donald Reynolds and his sister, Sharon Virginia Reynolds.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia “Flash” Reynolds; two sisters, Katheryn Reynolds and Deborah Brooks (Michael); one brother, Don Reynolds, Jr. (Susan); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Michael owned and operated Crabtree-The Landscape Specialist in Lynchburg for the past 42 years.  The artistry of his work could be seen all over the Lynchburg area, especially in his own yard which he loved.

Michael had a life-long love of Smith Mountain Lake where he loved to boat and fish.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory Wiggington Rd. Chapel (434) 385-8900.  Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be in Trinity Episcopal Cemetery immediately following the service.

Memorials may be given in Michael’s name to Gleaning for the World and Meals on Wheels.
