Obituary of Dennis Dudley

Dennis Reid Dudley, 79, of Smith Mountain Lake passed away Thursday, June 19, 2008 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Ruth Pillow Dudley. Born July 25, 1928 in Lynchburg he was the son of the late Harry Reid and Mary Falwell Dudley. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a retired employee of Bell Atlantic. Dennis is survived by his son Conrad D. Dudley and wife Netta of Lynchburg; two daughters, Kathy D. McCann and husband Michael of Sydney, Australia and Kimberly D. Meade and husband William of Lynchburg; his sister Dorothy D. Walton of Lynchburg and six grandchildren, Chase Dudley, Matthew McCann, Josh Dudley, Jake McCann, Whitney Meade and Karley Meade. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with The Rev. Nancy C. White officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, July 7th from 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home.
