Obituary of Mabel Schmincke

Mabel Morris Schmincke, 98, of Lynchburg passed away peacefully Sunday, June 22, 2008. She was the wife of the late Louis Henry Schmincke. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born October 28, 1909 in Elon, Va. she was a daughter of the late James Donald Morris and Olive Hudson Morris. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Clarkson. She is survived by three children, daughter Phyllis Schmincke Wright and husband Murl L. Wright, son Randall Louis Schmincke and wife Nellie Rucker Schmincke, daughter Celia Schmincke Trent and husband James (Jimmy) Walker Trent all of Lynchburg, 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many special friends at Runk and Pratt. The family wishes to thank the staff of Lynchburg Health and Rehabilitation Center for their love and care to Mabel. A graveside service will be held Thursday, 1:00 pm in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Earl Clarkson officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:00 pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, 21914 Timberlake Rd., Lynchburg. .
