Pamela Mitchell
Brown, 58, of Big Island
passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008
at her residence. She was the wife of Connie B. Brown.
Born September 17, 1949, in Lynchburg,
she was a daughter of the late H. Byrd Mitchell and Patricia Barbieri
Mitchell.
Pamela graduated from Holy
Cross Catholic School
in 1967 and the Lynchburg General School of Nursing in 1969. She was a member of
the Big Island
Baptist Church
and was a LPN with Gugginheimer Nursing Home.
In addition to her
husband, she is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth B. Eggleston of Forest
and Susan L. Brown, of Big Island; one son, Richard " Ricky" H. Brown and his wife, Jennifer D., of Big
Island; four grandchildren, Taylor Anne
Eggleston, Joshua Cabell Eggleston, Emma Sue Brown and Sara Anne Brown. One
sister, Debbie M. Brown and her husband, Henry, of Lynchburg. She also leaves behind her faithful friend, "Cookie".
The family wishes
to thank Dr. George C. Wortley, MD and his staff, at the Big
Island Medical Center
for the wonderful love and care given to Pam.
A Celebration of
Pam's life and faith will be held Tuesday,
July 1, 2008, at 11 a.m.
at Cove United
Methodist Church
Cemetery, Coleman
Falls, with the Reverend Bryon
LePere officiating.
The family will
receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm at Diuguid Funeral Service, Wiggington
Chapel and at other times at the home of Pam's sister, Debbie Brown, 1948
Abert Rd., Lynchburg.
Memorial
contributions may be made to the Big Island Emergency Crew,
Rt 1., Big Island,
Virginia, or the Boonsboro Rescue Squad, Rt
4, Lynchburg,
Virginia.
Diuguid Funeral

family.
