Obituary of Euphan Creasy

Euphan Eloise Eubank Creasy, 82, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Summit. She was the wife of Thomas Berkley Creasy, Sr. for 59 years. Born in Campbell County, she was the daughter of the late James Dabney and Mary Riley Eubank. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Mrs. Creasy was an avid porcelain doll maker and teacher of that craft. She loved her family dearly and was lovingly known as "Nannie". She is survived by two daughters, Trisha C. Driskill and her husband Ron and Vivian C. Carter and her husband, Don, all of Lynchburg; one son, Thomas B. Creasy, Jr. and his wife Lynne of Evington;; one brother, Claude Eubank and his wife Opal of Elon; eight grandchildren, Ryan Driskill (Gwen), Berkley Driskill, Dana O'Brien (Danny), Carrie Murphy (Ryan), Nat Carter (Caroline), Jess Carter, Ashley Klepac (Andy) and Lauren Creasy; seven great-grandchildren, Reid and Jackson Driskill, Kaylee O'Brien, Grayson Murphy, Blakley, Adalynn and Harrison Carter. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James , Pershing and Homer Eubank. The family would like to thank the staff of the Summit, especially "the Garden" wing for their dedicated and loving care given to Mrs. Creasy. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Campbell County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 4123, Lynchburg, VA 24502. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 11, 2008 at 1:00 PM in Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dan G. Mason officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Virginia Memorial Park. Diuguid Funeral Service-Waterlick Chapel (237-2722) is serving the family.
