Obituary of Mary Blackburn Sites

Mary B. Sites, 89, of Lynchburg, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Paul Franklin Sites, Sr. Born May 5, 1919 in Lincolnton, NC, she was the daughter of the late George Pinkney Blackburn and Nora Elizabeth Wacaser Blackburn. She is survived by a daughter, Ann S. Johnson and husband L. Aubrey Johnson, Jr. ; a son, P. Franklin Sites, Jr. and his wife Ann Maddox Sites; grandchildren, Barry Sites of Vinton, Curtis Sites of Goode, Douglas Sites of Goode, Ashley D. Johnson of Alma, CO and Adam N. Johnson of Gwynn Oak, MD; great-grandchildren, Brittany Sites, Katie Sites, Amanda Jones and L.J. Jones. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, July 21, 2008,at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7336 Timberlake Rd. by the Rev. Matthew Diehl. A reception at the church will follow the interment at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.
