Obituary of Virginia Ware
VIRGINIA NICHOLS WARE
Virginia Nichols Ware, 93, of Lynchburg
went to be with her Lord October 12,
2008 at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital.
Born in Lynchburg
on March 27, 1915 she was a
daughter of the late James Harvey Nichols and Lottie MacDonald Nichols and was
the widow of Edward Anderson Ware.
Virginia
graduated from E.C. Glass
High School in 1932 and was a
retired bookkeeper with the Leggett's Co. Virginia was a lifelong and dedicated
member of Rivermont Avenue
Baptist Church
since 1915. During her 93 years with the church she
was involved with every church committee and Sunday School
Class, including teacher of the Gleaner Class.
Virginia was a
loving mother, grandmother and sister to her daughter, Emily Ware Griffith and
her husband, Gregory of Wilmington, NC. Her son, Edward "Nick" Nichols Ware of Lynchburg.
Her grandsons, Edward A.Griffith, James G. Griffith and
MacDonald "Mac" Ware. Her Sister, Lois Nichols Long of
Tampa, FL and a number of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Virginia's
Life and Faith will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 17, 2008 at Spring
Hill Cemetery
with the Rev. Jeff Wilder Officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM
tonight at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel.
