Obituary of Virginia MeNeely

Virginia Mitchell McNeely, 85, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Julian Tuck McNeely. Born January 31, 1923 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Hobson Dillard and Emma Burton Mitchell. She was a member of Cove United Methodist Church in Coleman Falls. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother Howell Byrd Mitchell. She is survived by her son Ricky M. McNeely and wife Gloria and daughter Nancy M. Kintner and husband John C. all of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Heather M. Morgan of Rustburg, Jonathan T. McNeely of Brooklin, NY and Zachary C. Kintner of Lynchburg; two step-grandchildren, Angela Elder and husband Matt Churchill of Alexandria and Nathan J. Kintner and wife Kristie of Charlottesville; a step-great grandson and special friends Eleanor Dawson, Phyllis Matthews, Margueritte Jordan and Myra Crawford. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in Cove United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bryon Lepere officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3-5:00 pm at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel.
