Obituary of Maude Tuckey Strain

Maude Elizabeth Tuckey Strain, 83, of Lynchburg died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Bainbridge, NY on January 29, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Floyd Tuckey and Pearl Brown Tuckey and was the widow of Gordon Clarence Strain. Mrs. Strain was a member of Thomas Terrace Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Gordon E. Strain and his wife, Jill of Reading, MASS. and a daughter, Patricia S. Brown and her husband, Steve of Norristown, PA. Five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A celebration of Maude's life and faith will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 8, 2008 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Pickett officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Sunday at Diuguid Funeral Service and Crematory, Wiggington Chapel.
