Obituary of DannisEdwin Williams
Dannis "Dan" Edwin Williams died peacefully at his home
surrounded by his family and friends on January
31, 2009. He was born on April
26, 1952 to Alford Edwin Williams and the late Hazel Owen Williams
of Gladys. Dan is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Kathryn "Kay"
Robinson Williams; his daughter, Heather Williams Keyes and husband Joseph Keyes
of Lynchburg and their children Taylor and Christian; his son Jonathan Edwin
Williams and wife Jamie Tier Williams of Greenville, NC; his sisters, Patricia
W. Kent and husband Tony and Beverly W. Puckett and husband Bill all of Gladys;
his brother, David Williams and wife Tammy of Athens, GA and many nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
For the past 16 years he has provided counseling services as
a Licensed Professional Counselor. Dan was an active member of Timberlake
Christian Church and was instrumental in the development of many new programs.
He was an inspiration to many people both young and old. He opened his heart to
those less fortunate and taught others to do the same. His knowledge and wisdom
provided a light of hope to many in times of darkness. He was a loving husband,
courageous father and dedicated friend. He will be missed by many, but never
forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm today at Timberlake Christian Church, DOC, and at
other times will be at the residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 3:00 pm at the church.
