Obituary of Helen David French
The angels came for Pat on February 1, 2009 and took her home. She was the devoted
wife of Jack D. French of 26 years.
Born July 1, 1932 in Lynchburg
she was the daughter of the late Eugene Randolph and Virginia Horner David. She
was an artist and loved to paint. She was a member of Centenary
United Methodist
Church and the Order of The Eastern
Star.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children,
Steve C. Rush and wife Judy of Bedford, Leigh Turner and fiance Russell Simmons
of Lynchburg, Lynn Scoville and husband Joe of Smith Mountain Lake, Huddleston,
Phillip Bayliss and wife Jennifer of Lynchburg; 8 grandchildren, Chris Turner
and wife Pamela, Jason Turner and wife Meghan, Lauren Scoville, Allison Rush,
Jennifer Rush, Cameron Scoville, Josh and Michael Bayliss and one great
grandchild, Mackenzie Turner.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2009, 11:00am at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with Pastor John
Boswell officiating. Interment will follow in Spring
Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2009 at the funeral home
from 7-8:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes that contributions be
made to The Diabetic and Alzheimer's Associations. The family wishes to extend
a special thanks to the Fire and EMS of Lynchburg Station 4 (Bedford
Ave.), Hospice of The Hills and Katie Barker for
their wonderful care.
