Obituary of William McKenna

William Albert McKenna, III, 55, of Madison Heights Passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Katherine Woodfin McKenna. Born July 4, 1953 in Lynchburg he was a son of William A. "Click" McKenna, Jr. of Lynchburg and the late Mildred Noel McKenna. Bill was a retired employee of B&W Naval Nuclear Fuel Division and a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church. He was a loyal fan and friend of Liberty University Women's Basket Ball Team. In addition to his wife and father he is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Brooke McKenna Albers and husband Wes of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Wesley P. McKenna and wife Julia of Charleston, SC and Brian K. McKenna of Forest, 4 nephews and nieces. A celebration of Bill's Life will be held Tuesday 2:00 pm in Thomas Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Sargeant officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday 7-8:30 pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel and at other times will be at the residence.
