Obituary of John Dudding

John Olanza Dudding, 87, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in University of Virginia Hospital Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Claire Dodds Dudding. Twice married his first wife was the late Denise Jovelet Dudding. Born June 26, 1921 in Roanoke he was the son of the late John Olanzo and Jenny Arthur Dudding. He was a retired employee of General Electric and was a member of The United Church of God. He is survived by two sons, William A. Dudding and wife Robin of Midlothian and James P. Dudding and wife Valerie of Ruckersville; his daughter, Linda S. Brown and husband Bob Cox of Lynchburg; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel with the Rev. John Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until service time.
