Obituary of Mildred Viar Nuckols

Mildred Elizabeth Viar Nuckols Mildred Elizabeth Viar Nuckols, 74, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Rufus Earl Nuckols. Born July 31, 1934 in Lynchburg she was the daughter of the late Raymond Everette and Lula Blanche Walden Viar. She was a 1953 graduate of E. C. Glass High School and was an employee of Craddock Terry Shoe Co. She was a homemaker and mom and a member of Fairview Christain Church. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Sue Puckette Lawhorn; two sons, Raymond Earl Nuckols and Lewis Wayne Nuckols all of Lynchburg; five grandchildren, Brett Everette Foreman, Brandy Luella Renee?, Raymond Earl Nuckols, Jr., Justin Andrew Lawhorn all of Lynchburg and Samantha Ann Lawhorn Bellamy of Green County; four great grandchildren and her faithful companion Poppy. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Melvin Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8:30 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel and at other times will be at the home of her daughter Donna Sue.
