Obituary of Harold Boggs

Harold Phillip Boggs, 94, of Franklin, TN and formerly of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Born in Lynchburg on March 16, 1915 he was a son of the late Leroy Boggs and Roxy Ballard Boggs and was the husband of Tampa (Becky) Howell Boggs of Franklin, TN. Mr. Boggs was a graduate of Virginia Commercial College and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served his country during W.W. II. He retired after 30 years of service as the plant manager for the Old Dominion Box Company and was a member of West Lynchburg Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda B. Norman and her husband, Donald of Franklin, TN. Two grandchildren, Dennis Norman and his wife, Katie of Charlotte, NC. and Janice Norman of Nashville, TN. Two great grandchildren, Drake and Allison Norman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Boggs and by a sister, Thelma Rohr. A Celebration of Mr. Boggs' life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel on Timberlake Rd. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make a memorial contribution to West Lynchburg Baptist Church.
