Obituary of Evelyn Newberry

Evelyn V. Newberry, 82, of Lynchburg, died Thursday May 21, 2009 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Mervin E. Newberry. Born April 25, 1927, in Grundy, Va. she was a daughter of the late Ira and Pearly Duty Stiltner. She was a member of Forest Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Newberry is survived by one son; Orin Newberry and his wife Hanci of Columbus, Oh.; two daughters, Ada Popek and her husband Bob of Doylestown, Pa., Mary Ryczko and her husband Bob of Glen Allen, Va., 0ne brother, Edward Stiltner of Nashville, Tenn. ; one sister, Sue Dotson of Marion, Ind., And five grandchildren. Rev. Tyler Scarlett will hold a funeral service Monday at 11:00 am at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7-8:30 pm at the funeral home.
