Obituary of Charles Bernard Dalton

Charles B. Dalton,70, of Rustburg, VA, paved a lot of roads here on earth. He paved his road into heaven on March 10th, 2018 after a courageous battle with a brief illness. He was married to his loving wife Virginia C. Dalton for 48 years. Born February 26th, 1948 in Lynchburg VA, he was a son of Letherine D. Smallwood and the late Clarence W. Dalton. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Michael T. Dalton (Kimberly) of Appomattox and a daughter Michelle L. Dalton of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Alex C. (Danville) and Harper L. Dalton (Appomattox); one brother, James W. Dalton (Jenny) of Lynchburg; extended family, friends and one special little puppy Alex. Charles worked for Marvin V Templeton for 14 years. He opened CD Auto Recycling in 1973. He owned and operated the business until his death. Charles was a man of few words. He had a kind and gentle spirit. He loved to drive corvettes and travel. The family would like to thank Gentle Shepherd hospice care, Joanna, Bree, Heather, Tammy, Gwen and Penny. The family would also like to thank special caregivers Heather and Lee Younger and special friends Wesley, Angie, Larry, Jake and the family and customers that supported us during this difficult time.
