Obituary of Evelyn Kesterson Templeton

Evelyn Kesterson Templeton, of Lynchburg, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at her home. Born March 7, 1935 in Lynchburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Walter Earl and Gladys Swan Kesterson. She was retired from Barker-Jennings Co. and previously worked at G.E. She was a member of Marsh Memorial United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was formerly the choir director. She also sang in the Sweet Adelines for many years and was also a member of the Rhythm Rebels Barbershop Quartet. Evelyn also was an avid reader and loved to sew, knit , crochet and doing crafts. She loved traveling and going to the beach with her good friend, Violet Marston. She is survived by a son Michael "Mike" Steven Hill and his wife, Charlotte; a daughter, Pamela Hill Riddle and her husband, Marshall; one sister, Bobbi K. Morse of Lynchburg: two brothers, Ernest E. Kesterson and his wife, Sybil, of Sunset Beach, NC and Joseph W. Kesterson and his wife, Diane, of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Keith Riddle and his wife, Michele, Jason Riddle, Sara Riddle and Heather Henson; three great- grandchildren, Charlie Riddle, Reagan Riddle and Jaimee Meekins and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Old Pate Chapel, 701 Thomas Rd. with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will be held in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel.
