Obituary of John Wesley Staples II

John Wesley "Chopper" Staples II, 40, of Rustburg, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017. Born January 14, 1977 in Lynchburg, VA, he was a son of John Wesley "Ray" and Arelene Johns Staples. He loved having talks with and working on vehicles with his dad. He is survived by both parents; five children, Amber Lynn Staples of Gladys, VA and Jonathan, Tyler, Ryan and Dustin Staples; two brothers, Jason Brian Staples and Ray Staples, all of Rustburg and his fiancée Cindy Epperson of Gladys, VA. He is also survived by two nieces, Kristen Zurlippe of Rustburg and Jessica Staples presently serving in the U. S. Military, one nephew, Jason Staples, Jr and eight aunts and uncles and a host of cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Scott Staples; paternal grandparents, Burnley Mac and Margaret Juanita Staples and maternal grandparents, Lemon and Virgie Johns. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 11, 2017 at 12 Noon at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of his parents. Burial will be private on a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
