Obituary of Tex Richard Mann

Tex Richard Mann 79, of Forest, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home. He was the loving husband of Jacqueline Miller Mann for 60 years. Born in Lynchburg on March 15, 1938, he was the son of the late Mary C. and Elton H. Mann. He retired from B&W after 35 years of service. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of Norwood Baptist Church where he enjoyed the church members and functions. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cindy Shumate (David), Rick Mann and Lloyd Mann (Caroline). Grandchildren Melissa Beatty (Jim), Dana Evans (Brian), Alison Clontz (Dustin) and Sara Chiu (Andy). He leaves a family legacy to his great-granddaughter, Hannah and his seven other great-grandchildren. Special thanks to David Blankenship who cared for him as his personal caregiver. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Norwood Baptist Church, 1045 Random Way, Forest VA. Relatives and friends are welcome for a period of visitation at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
