Obituary of Jane Shelton
Jane Grayson Shelton passed from this earth to live forever
with Jesus Christ her Savior on February
15, 2008. Her husband of almost thirty-four years, James Blair
Shelton, takes comfort in knowing that his precious Jane now has two good arms
and two good legs and a perfect body that will have disease no more. And, in
the certainty that he will see her again.
Jane was an inspiration to all who knew her. To see her
raise her one good arm high and to hear her shout "Yes" at the name of Jesus
was an awesome experience.
Jane was borne in Christiansburg on May 4, 1943 and moved to Lynchburg
in 1995 when her husband joined the faculty of Liberty
University. In addition to her
husband she is survived by her son, Robert F. Smith, III of Laurel, MD, her
brother, A. Ward Grayson, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC,
and cousins in VA and Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 19 at Diuguid
Waterlick Chapel, 21914 Timberlake Road.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 23, at 11:00 am at
Faith Bible Church on Timberlake Road (across from Captain D's) by the
Reverends Josef Shalev and John R. Robinson.
