Obituary of Lula Canody

Lula Moore Canody, 89, of Evington, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 in The Carrington. She was the widow of Harold Taylor Canody. Born December 25, 1917, in Salisbury, NC, she was a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Ada Chapman Moore. She was a retired nurse with the office of Dr. William Riggins. She was a member of Women of the Moose #1415 and a member of Langhorne Chapel. In addition to her husband, she wass preceded in death by her son, Michael Taylor Canoddy and her daughter, Barbara T. Hodges. Lula is survived by three granddaughters, RobinH. Seay of AMherst, Kerrie C. Harris of Monroe and Brenda H. Hicks of Evington; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Harris and Hailie Tyree; a brother, Paul F. Moore of Roanoke and a sister, Mary M. Procter of Evington. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 13, 2007 in Fort Hill Memoria Park with the Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating.
