Obituary of Jayne Carr

JAYNE CUMMINGS CARR Jayne Cummings Carr, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at the University of Virginia Hospital, after a brief illness. Jayne was born on December 8, 1934 in Cresson, PA and resided in Philadelphia, PA before moving to Lynchburg where she raised her family. In addition to her parents, William and Catherine Cummings, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Cummings of Baltimore and a brother. Jayne was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and was a retired teachers aide from the Lynchburg School System where she satisfied her love of children. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. A son, John Michael Haruch and his wife, Judy and a granddaughter, Lorrisa Bates all of Midlothian. A daughter, Nadine C. Allen and her husband, James of Lynchburg. A son, Edward Joseph Carr, III and his wife, Teresa of Forest. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, Timberlake Rd. with Father J. Kenneth Rush officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross, 2416 Langhorne Rd., Lynchburg, Va. 24502.
