Obituary of Juanita Arthur

Juanita Lindsey Arthur, 87, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2007.She was the widow of Herman R. Arthur. Born May 29, 1920 in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Lewis S. and Jeannette Christine Reid Arthur. She was retired from Montegue -Betts Company and a member of Euclid Christian Church. Mrs. Arthur is survived by one daughter Barbara Arthur Owen and her husband John; one sister, June L. Allgood; two grandchildren, Sean A. Owen, J. Todd Owen and his wife Missy; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Matthew, Martelle and Connor Owen; one nephew James Allgood and his wife Debbie of Prospect, KY. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ione Thomas and is survived by her brother-in-law William L. Thomas. The family wishes to thank Mrs. Arthur's caretakers, Dora and Bill Hendricks, Lisa Harris and Jennifer Newman for their loving and dedicated care. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. in Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Ed Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3-5 P.M. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
