Obituary of Marian Peyton

Marian Swift Peyton of Lynchburg, died Friday, November 16, 2007 in Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Carroll H. Peyton. Born in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Carl Kesler and Betty Harris Swift. She served 3 years in World War II in the Navy as a Wave and worked for the F.D.I.C. after her Navy duty. She was a member of Wallers Baptist Church in Spotsylvania Co., Virginia. She has one niece, Betty Gregores, of Lynchburg, and one nephew, Linwood Marks, of Richmond, Virginia; 2 great nieces, Megan and Christin Gregores. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Mildred S. Humphries, and a sister, Carleen S. Pleasants. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30pm, Tuesday, November 20, 2007 in Wallers Baptist Church, Partlow, Virginia. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, November 19, 2007 from 7:30 to 8:30pm at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church or the charity of your choice.
