CARLTON CONWAY CANDLER, III
Carlton Conway Candler, III died Sunday, January 6, 2008 at New York, New York.
Born May 30, 1961, he was the son of the late Mildred Parker Candler and the late Carlton Conway Candler, Jr.
Carlton was a graduate of E.C. Glass High School and Lynchburg College, he worked for Xerox Corporation in Richmond. After earning his Masters Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, he became a caring and creative Teacher in Henrico Public Schools and later in New Jersey and most recently in the New York Public Schools in East Harlem.
He is survived by a Sister, Elizabeth Candler Kelly and her husband, Greg. A niece, Greer Kelly and a nephew, Parker Kelly all of Richmond. He is also survived by his friends, Mr. and Mrs. David Purdy (Perry Payne) of New York.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 11, 2008 at the Longwood Cemetery in Bedford.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Richmond.
