Obituary of Nelson Evers

Nelson Peronneau Evers, 76, of Lynchburg. passed away Thursday, January 8, 2008 , in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Faye D. Evers. Born February 18, 1932 in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late John Harvey and Lomie Lee Evers. Nelson was retired from B & W Technologies and a member of Langhorne Chapel Community Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served our country during the Korean War. In addition to his wife Faye, he is survived by two daughter's, Vicky E. Gaddy and her husband Randy of Bedford and Mary E. Mason and her friend Johnathan Wingfield of Charlottesville.; two brothers, John Earl Evers and his wife Sarah and Lawrence Evers, all of Lynchburg; six grandchildren, Rob Gaddy, Tiffany Gaddy, B.J. Gaddy, Tabitha Gaddy, Christy Gaddy and Gary Mason; a formere sister-in-law, Martha Wallenhorst. He was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Williams and five brothers, William, Paul, Carl, Frank and Arthur Evers. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
