Obituary of Mildred Irvan

Mildred Wade Irvan, 85, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 in Medical Care Center. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Wesley Clarence Irvan. Born April 7, 1922, in Campbell County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Lizzie Coles Wade. She was retired from Central Virginia Training Center She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Irvan is survived by her step-mother, Katherine Wade; two sons, Clarence E. Irvan of Lynchburg, Wesley "Buck" H. Irvan and his wife Flora of Richmond and one daughter, Nellie Irvan Catlett and her husband Vernon of Lynchburg; one sister, Ruth Wade Coleman and her husband Warren one brother, Robert L. Wade and his wife Carole, of Spout Springs, one half-sister, Tammy B. Daniel, two half brothers, Wayne Wade an dhis wife Connie, Bobby Wade and his wife Carole all of Lynchburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Buckley Irvan. A graveside service will be held Monday, February 4, 2008.at 1:00 PM in Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Gary Vernon officiating.The family will receive friends at Diuguid Wiggington Chapel Sunday from 2-4 PM. Diuguid Funeral Service-Wiggington Chapel (385-8900) is serving the family.
