I had the honor of knowing Ralph for many years. He was such a warm and friendly person. He was very well thought of in the cosmetics and retail trades. He will be greatly missed. Prayers and sympathy to the family he was so proud of. I hope it helps to know that he was highly regarded by so many people he knew.

Our sympathy to Thornhill familyDear Gloria and Family, Last evening I was so sorry to read of Ralph's death. Denny and I go down North Hills Drive on our way to church, and often we would wonder about you and your family. We noticed when the For Sale sign went up in front of your home, and wondered where you had moved. I even checked the phone book to see if you were in Raleigh. Gloria, we have special memories of you and Ralph, and the kindness you both showed to us when our David died. The first Christmas after David died, I remember the very nice dinner party you and Ralph hosted for several couples, including the two of us. Another time you invited me to a luncheon that included David's English teacher, Patsy Stoner. Reaching out to us in Christian love, at that time, meant a lot. Our grandson, Kyle, is now 16, and is on the wrestling team at his high school. When our boys were wrestling, I remember the two of us sitting together at the matches, Gloria. Denny and I were talking about the boys wrestling this past week, and it brought back memories of your family, so we were saddened, a few days later, to read of Ralph's death. If I could see you in person, I would give you a big hug, but since that is not possible, please know that we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Our love to you and all of your family. With sincere sympathy, Jean and Dennis Martin
