Obituary of Gail Justis

Gail Minnett Justis, 73, of Forest, departed this life early Sunday morning, May 11, 2008 after a long illness. She was the loving wife of David L. Justis, Sr. for 53 years. V Gail was born February 27, 1935 in Chickasha, OK, the daughter of the late Henry & Norma Minnett. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great joy in spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Danny Justis, and grandson, Billy England III. In addition to her devoted and loving husband, Gail leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie England and husband, Bill of Raleigh, NC; Her son, David "Lee" Justis and wife, Pat of Franklin, TN; Brother, John Minnett and wife, Bettye of Oklahoma; and Sisters Mita Ehn and Jule Sewell of Texas. Granchildren Becky England, Tina Baker and husband, Morgan, Sarah Johnson, Charlie England, Katie Justis, and Allie Justis and great-grandson, Brian Johnson and an extended family that will all dearly miss her. The family will receive friends at Diuguid Funeral Home, 811 Wiggington Rd. Lynchburg, on Monday May 12, 2008 from 5 to 7 PM. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions to be made in Gail's honor to Gentle Shephard Hospice (6045 Peters Creek Rd. Roanoke, VA 24019) or the Salvation Army. .
