Tony Lee Driskill, 22, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in Myrtle Beach while attending the bike convention. He is survived by his father, Kenneth "Neal" Driskill and his stepmother Lisa and his mother Melissa Daniel and stepfather, Dale.
Born September 30, 1985 in Lynchburg, Tony was a member of Tree of Life Ministries Church where he was also employed. He was a graduate of Rustburg High School. He had a great love for music and enjoyed being the DJ for various events. He was known as DJ-"T". He loved NASCAR, drag racing and had a huge fascination for motorcycles. He also enjoyed Professional Wrestling. Always smiling, Tony was an inspiration to all of the lives that he touched. In addition to his parents, Tony is survived by his brother, Travis Driskill, one step-brother, Zack Ferguson and two step-sisters Heather Ferguson and Cheyanne Daniel; maternal grandparents Jack and Janice Moses of Evington and his paternal grandparents, Earl and Nancy Mottley of Concord. He is also survived by his "special" great-grandmother, Myra Mays of Amherst; step-grandparents, James and Gladys Daniel and Dana Franklin. In addition he is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many special friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kenneth Gordon Driskill. A celebration of Tony's life will be held Sunday , May 18, 2008 at 2:00 PM in Tree of Life Church with Rev. Mike Dodson , Rev. Mark Grooms and Rev. Mack Almond officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 6-9 PM. Interment will be in Concord Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to Concord Rescue Squad.
