Obituary of Robert Bourne Nelson, Sr.

Robert Bourne Nelson Sr, 92, formerly of Charlottesville/Gordonsville, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Amherst County.   
 
He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Marie Nelson and his daughter-in-law Angie Nelson. He is survived by his three children: Robert Bourne Nelson, Jr, David Walker Nelson, Sr. (Lisa), and Carolyn Nelson Smith (Stan); 10 grandchildren; 14 1/2 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. 
 
A graveside service will be held for the family in the future at Rockgate Cemetary, Crozet, VA.  

 In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Miller School of Albemarle in Bob’s name.
